Contribution to the distribution of salmon milkcap (Lactarius salmonicolor) in northeastern Moravia

Lactarius salmonicolor, a mushroom species considered vulnerable in the Czech Republic, was known from only 13 localities in NE Moravia until 2021. We found 72 new localities of the species and confirmed its occurrence at 3 already known ones in the area in 2022. The obtained data show that Lactarius salmonicolor fructifies abundantly in certain years when the climatic conditions are favourable. The presence of mycorrhizal silver fir (Abies alba) is essential.

Conyza sumatrensis (Erigeron sumatrensis Retz., Conyza albida Willd. ex Spreng.), a recently recognized alien in the flora of the Czech Republic, was found in the northeastern part of this country. The species had been reported from Bohemia (Prague) in 2020. In 2022, it was found in the eastern part of the Czech Republic. One plant found in the town of Třinec (Czech Silesia) might indicate the initial phase of an invasion of this species in the region. Detailed photographic documentation of the species is provided. Possible pathways of introduction are also discussed.

The first record of cliff tiger beetle Cylindera germanica (Linnaeus, 1758) on a ridge of the Hrubý Jeseník Mts. (Czech Republic) is presented. The beetle was recorded on a broad forest road covered by sparse vegetation and a fine substrate of alluvial deposits at Františkova myslivna hunting cottage, situated in a mountain spruce forest. The presented record at an elevation of 1185 m a.s.l. is currently the highest record of C. germanica in the Czech Republic.

The purpose of this article is to summarise the results of dragonfly and damselfly (Odonata) surveys in Kotvice Nature Reserve in the Poodří Protected Landscape Area (Czech Republic). Odonates were studied by sampling adults, larvae, and exuvia in the years 2019 to 2021 at 11 different stations with stagnant waters (e.g. forest and meadow wetlands, meadow pools, wet meadows, oxbow lakes, ponds) and running water (forest stream, Odra river). Altogether, 37 species (30 species in 2019, 31 species in 2020 and 19 species during only one field visit in 2021) were documented in the reserve. Six of them are listed in the Czech redlist - critically endangered...

During the collection of fungi for the exhibition of live fungi in the Beskydy Museum Frýdek-Místek in 2022, 129 taxa of fungi were recorded at seven major localities in the districts of Frýdek-Místek and Vsetín. These included two red-list taxa, namely Butyriboletus subappendiculatus (Endangered category) and Russula viscida (Near Threatened category). One taxon, Russula submembranacea, is classified in the Data Deficient category.
