This article summarises the results of aquatic, semiaquatic, and shore bugs surveys at the locality of Bedřichův klauz near the village of Bílá in the Beskydy Protected Landscape Area (Czech Republic). Aquatic, semiaquatic, and shore bugs were studied by sampling adults and larvae in the period from 2013 to 2025 at three different sites containing stagnant waters (Bedřichův klauz reservoir) or running water (Bílá Ostravice stream). A total of 24 species belonging to 11 families were identified (Nepidae 2, Micronectidae 2, Corixidae 5, Naucoridae 1, Notonectidae 2, Pleidae 1, Hydrometridae 1, Veliidae 2, Gerridae 5, Dipsocoridae 1, Saldidae 2). In 2023–2024, a faunistic survey of selected vertebrate groups was conducted in the valley of the Ostravice River, between the Hodoňovice weir and the confluence with the Morávka River (Frýdek-Místek District). The aim of the study was to supplement the existing knowledge of the biodiversity in the Řeka Ostravice Special Area of Conservation. The field work was carried out during ten sessions, including both daytime and nighttime observations. A total of 71 vertebrate species were recorded, including two amphibian, two reptile, 61 bird, and six mammal species. Special attention was paid to species of conservation importance with 13 species protected...

Acta Musei Beskidensis vol. 15/2025:1-17 | DOI: 10.70231/amb.2025.002
The distribution of the endangered moss Timmia bavarica in the Štramberk Karst and its surrounding areas (Moravia, Czech Republic) was studied between 2013 and 2024. The research confirmed the presence of historically known sites and led to the discovery of new locations on Kotouč hill near Štramberk. A significant new finding on Zámecký vrch hill, within the Štramberk Castle area, further expands our understanding of the moss distribution in the Štramberk Karst. Additionally, a site on Šostýn hill near Kopřivnice, located outside the Štramberk Karst, either represents a confirmation of the species’ presence from 1936 or marks a new occurrence...
