Acta Musei Beskidensis 2014, 6:1-15 | DOI: 10.70231/amb.2014.001

The aim of this study is to evaluate and describe natural condition of the private reserve Ščúrnica from the geobiocoenological point of view, give an integrated characteristics of broader territory interactions and to submit some principles of management to ensure the continual conservation of the natural values. The forest Ščúrnica is situated near Valašské Klobouky village, in the altitude 660 to 739 m, on the top of Královec hill. With the application of Field-Map technology, dendrometric data of tree species (on the circle plots) were measured. When determining the potential status of biota, 3 geobiocenose types in the 5th forest vegetation tier...

The paper contains resources and quotations in literature and internet.

Nezpozorované a rychlé šíření lebedy různosemenné (Atriplex micrantha) a omanu smradlavého (Dittrichia graveolens) na dálnicích Moravy a Slezska (Česká republika)

Petr Kocián

Acta Musei Beskidensis 2014, 6:27-47 | DOI: 10.70231/amb.2014.003

An unnoticed and rapid widespread invasion of two alien species - Russian Atriplex (Atriplex micrantha) and Stinkwort (Dittrichia graveolens) - on motorways and expressways in Moravia and Silesia regions in the Czech Republic is presented. Dittrichia graveolens was first recorded in the Czech Republic on motorway D1 (Prague to Brno) in 2008 and four years later it was found more than 150 kilometers furthermore on the newly built sections of motorway D1 (Lipník nad Bečvou to Ostrava) which were put into operation in 2008 and 2009. It seems that Atriplex micrantha spreads rapidly too, although it is not known when it was introduced to motorways in Moravia...

Acta Musei Beskidensis 2014, 6:49-59 | DOI: 10.70231/amb.2014.004

Turin Spurge (Euphorbia taurinensis) is an alien species which was collected in the Czech Republic for the first time in 1922. Since then it has been recorded from the southern Bohemia and southern Moravia. It has not been mentioned from the northern Moravia because it was confused with the rather similar species E. falcata and E. exigua. However, it has been present in the region at least since 1958, occurring mainly on railway tracks. The article presents the results of a revision of herbarium specimens and summarizes the historical and recent distribution of E. taurinensis in the northeastern part of the Czech Republic.

Little Robin (Geranium purpureum) is a relatively new alien species in the Czech Republic. Native to the Mediterranean region, G. purpureum was recorded in the Czech Republic for the first time on railway tracks in the southern Moravia in 2005. It was reported from the northern Moravia in 2009 and since then it has been recorded on 30 localities only on railways. The present number of the localities suggests that the spread of the species on railways was unnoticed for several years in the northeastern part of the Czech Republic.

Poznámky k adventivní flóře severní Moravy a Slezska 3. Geranium rotundifolium

Acta Musei Beskidensis 2014, 6:69-76 | DOI: 10.70231/amb.2014.006

Round-leaved Crane's-bill (Geranium rotundifolium), native to the Mediterranean, is a casual alien in the Czech Republic. It was first collected in Bohemia before 1851. In Moravia, it was recorded for the first time in 2010 and since then seven new localities have been reported along railways. The species seems to be spreading slowly along the railways in the north-eastern part of the Czech Republic.

První nález Cordulegaster bidentata (Odonata: Cordulegastridae) v Cerové vrchovině na Slovensku

The first finding of Cordulegaster bidentata (Odonata: Cordulegastridae) in the Cerová vrchovina Hills in Slovakia

Otakar Holuša, Kateřina Holušová

Acta Musei Beskidensis 2014, 6:77-82 | DOI: 10.70231/amb.2014.007

In May 2014, totally 8 larvae of Cordulegaster bidentata were found at 2 localities in the surroundings of Cerovo village - local part Obručná in the Cerová vrchovina Hills in the southern Slovakia. The finding of larvae of several instars shows the permanent occurrence of species in the Cerová vrchovina Hills. Species occurrence in Slovakia and its area in central Europe are discussed.

In 2011 Heteroptera community of the peaty meadow and its closest surroundings was studied in the Podgrúň Nature Monument (Moravskoslezské Beskydy Mts). So far, 71 species of Heteroptera have been confirmed in this valuable habitat. Five of them are listed in the Czech Redlist - critically endangered tyrphobiont species Lamproplax picea, vulnerable Pachybrachius luridus (both Rhyparochromidae) and Rhacognathus punctatus (Pentatomidae) (both last mentioned species are tyrphophilous) and nearly threatened species Sciocoris umbrinus and Rubiconia intermedium (Pentatomidae).

Acta Musei Beskidensis 2014, 6:107-119 | DOI: 10.70231/amb.2014.009

The present study deals with faunistic survey of beetles (Coleoptera) in the Vrapač National Nature Reserve in the Litovelské Pomoraví PLA (Czech Republic). In total, 743 specimens representing 154 species were recorded during vegetation season of 2012 by means of individual sampling, beating from trees and bushes, sweeping, and 18 flight intercept traps. The families Cerambycidae (26 species) and Elateridae (22 species) were the most species rich. Twenty-two red-listed species were found including critically endangered click beetle Podeonius acuticornis and tumbling flower beetle Mordellaria aurofasciata. Furthermore, 6 endangered species, 8 vulnerable...

Acta Musei Beskidensis 2014, 6:125-127 | DOI: 10.70231/amb.2014.011

Two mature males of Leucorrhinia albifrons were found on 18.VI.2014 in the locality of Šardice village - Šardický potok stream - Písky place (48°56'50.67''N, 17°03'26.14''E, 176 m a.s.l.) in the Hustopečský bioregion (southern Moravia, Czech Republic). It is the first record from the northpannonian subprovince in the Czech Republic.

První nález nepůvodního švába Cariblatta imitans (Blattodea: Ectobiidae) v Evropě

Libor Dvořák, Jiří Hromádka, Martin Suvák

Acta Musei Beskidensis 2014, 6:128-130 | DOI: 10.70231/amb.2014.012

The surviving population of the alien cockroach Cariblatta imitans was discovered in the Victoria greenhouse of Botanical Garden of Pavol Jozef Šafárik Univerzity in Košice, Slovakia. Cariblatta population probably originates from the Nicaragua, where some plants were collected in 2000 during an expedition with participation of Botanical Garden. These records are the first from the whole Europe and the first ones outside the species' native range.

Nová lokalita svižníka písčinného (Cylindera arenaria viennensis) (Coleoptera: Carabidae) na severní Moravě

New locality of the Viennese Tiger Beetle (Cylindera arenaria viennensis) (Coleoptera: Carabidae) in the northern Moravia

Lukáš Spitzer, Petr Meca, Jiří Beneš

Acta Musei Beskidensis 2014, 6:131-134 | DOI: 10.70231/amb.2014.013

New locality of Cylindera arenaria viennensis occurrence was discovered for the northern Moravia region in 2013. The presence of hundreds individuals was confirmed in dried tailings ponds of former ore mine near Horní Benešov in the foothills of the Nízký Jeseník Mountains. The bare substrate thereby consists of small dusty particules, partly it is waterlogged. Most of dump area is covered by vegetation of scrubs and pioneer self-seeded trees. Only small part is under some management, which leads to maintenance of patches of bare ground (motocross and mining of formerly deposited material). The presence of Cylindera arenaria viennensis in this region...
