Solid anthropogenic waste contamination in the Beskydy protected landscape area

Jan Lenart, Erika Smutková

Acta Musei Beskidensis 2016, 8:1-9 | DOI: 10.70231/amb.2016.001

The article provides the results of solid waste particles occurrence within 30 approximately selected sites of 50×50 m size in the Beskydy protected landscape area in 2015. The waste material was divided into 9 types. 182 individual particles were found in total. From that, 42 % of plastic, 30 % of paper, 9 % of metal, 5 % of waste containing pollutants, 4 % of glass and 10 % of the rest was recorded. From the overall number of investigated sites, only 6 were without any visible contamination. Conversely, more than 10 pcs of contaminants were within 7 sites, the highest amount was 29 pcs within one site. The occurrence of the waste is not connected...

Šárka Cimalová, Alžběta Gřundělová

Acta Musei Beskidensis 2016, 8:11-24 | DOI: 10.70231/amb.2016.002

Vegetation sampling of 45 vegetation relevés was done on transects situated orthogonal to the Bílovka river in its renaturalized section during vegetation season in 2014. Vegetation of reeds and tall sedges dominated in close proximity to the river (Rorippo-Phalaridetum arundinaceae and Phalaridetum arundinaceae). Alluvial meadow communities (Poo trivialis-Alopecuretum pratensis and Holcetum lanati) were recorded further from the river.Among total 121 taxa, there were 97 native species, 17 archaeophytes and 7 neophytes. The new locality of Thalictrum lucidum, an endangered taxon (C3) growing in the community Phalaridetum arundinaceae, was recorded....

Acta Musei Beskidensis 2016, 8:25-40 | DOI: 10.70231/amb.2016.003

This work provides data of the systematic research on the dragonflies in the Cerová vrchovina Uplands in the southern Slovakia, realized in 2012-2014 investigating a total of 30 sites (8 habitat types). During investigation, 39 dragonfly species belonging to 9 families were confirmed. For fifteen of these recorded species larval development has been proved: Aeshna cyanea, Aeshna mixta, Anax imperator, Calopteryx virgo, Chalcolestes viridis, Coenagrion ornatum, Cordulegaster bidentata, Enallagma cyathigerum, Erythromma viridulum, Ischnura elegans, Orthetrum albistylum, O. brunneum, Platycnemis pennipes, Sympetrum sanguineum and S. vulgatum. In the area,...

Ploštice (Heteroptera) beskydských a podbeskydských rašelinných biotopů 6. Přírodní rezervace Bukovec

True Bugs (Heteroptera) of the Beskidian and Subbeskidian peaty habitats 6. Bukovec Nature Reserve

Magdaléna Roháčová

Acta Musei Beskidensis 2016, 8:41-61 | DOI: 10.70231/amb.2016.004

In 2013 the heteropteran community of the peaty meadow and its closest surroundings was studied in the Bukovec Nature Reserve (Jablunkovské mezihoří Intermountains). So far, 74 species of Heteroptera have been confirmed in this locality valuable from the point of nature conservation. Five of them are listed in the Czech Redlist - nearly threatened Acompus rufipes and shore bugs Chartoscirta cocksii and Salda muelleri and vulnerable Pachybrachius luridus and Adelphocoris ticinensis. The first three mentioned species belong to the tyrphophilous species. Some xero- and thermophilous also live here: Coptosoma scutellatum and Sciocoris cursitans. As for...

Ploštice (Heteroptera) údolí řeky Bílá Ostravice (Moravskoslezské Beskydy)

True Bugs (Heteroptera) of the Bílá Ostravice River Valley (Moravskoslezské Beskydy Mts)

Magdaléna Roháčová

Acta Musei Beskidensis 2016, 8:63-87 | DOI: 10.70231/amb.2016.005

In 2014 the Heteroptera community of habitats along the Bílá Ostravice River (left source of the Ostravice River) were investigated. In total, 110 species of Heteroptera were identified in the collected material. Among 13 investigated habitats, the highest species diversity was found on the former timber depots and open marshes. However, the most valuable habitats there were open marshes, where the most species important from faunistic point of view and species of the Czech Redlist were collected ( Acompus rufipes, Calocoris alpestris, Dictyla lupuli, Eurygaster austriaca, Grypocoris sexguttatus, Jalla dumosa, Pachybrachius luridus and Plesiodema pinetella)....

Střevlíkovití brouci (Coleoptera: Carabidae) štěrkopísčitých lavic řeky Opavy u Kunova (Česká republika, Nízký Jeseník): implikace poznatků pro ochranu území

Ground beetles (Coleoptera: Carabidae) on the sandy gravel banks of the Opava river near Kunov (Czech Republic, Nízký Jeseník Mts): implication of findings for protection of study area

Josef Kašák

Acta Musei Beskidensis 2016, 8:89-96 | DOI: 10.70231/amb.2016.006

This paper is focused on the fauna of ground beetles (Coleoptera: Carabidae) of the sandy gravel banks of the river Opava near Kunov (Czech Republic, Nízký Jeseník Mts). In total, 40 species of carabids were recorded during an entomological survey from 2010 to 2014. A valuable assemblage of ground beetles with high bioindicative value was found. Endangered and relict species of natural riparian habitats (especially river banks) such as Bembidion cruciatum veselyi, B. stomoides, B. varicolor, Dyschirius intermedius, Elaphrus aureus, Chlaenius tristis and Paratachys micros were recorded. From faunistic point of view, occurrence of Chlaenius tristis,...
